Academic Advising
Undergraduate Advising
Undergraduate advisors are responsible for providing information regarding degree plans, monitoring student progress, and helping students in areas such as petitions, scholarships, study abroad and transfer of credit.
AFP students should meet with their advisor(s) at least once a year to ensure adequate progress is being made toward graduation.
See your home department’s website for contact information for your assigned advisor.
Graduate Coordinator
Graduate coordinators assist prospective graduate students with general inquiries about graduate school and the particular UT programs which they serve. Graduate coordinators will answer questions about the application process, funding opportunities, and degree requirements and are generally the first point of contact for current and future graduate students.

Graduate Advising
The graduate advisor is a faculty member who oversees a UT graduate program and works closely with the graduate coordinator. Graduate advisors can answer questions about graduate-level academics, including inquiries about pursuing a particular research project or developing an academic focus. Graduate advisors are also a good resource to help prospective students determine if a UT program is a good fit for them.
